The Return of Pan American Flight 914
This flight originated in New York and was supposed to be traveling to Miami Florida.
Soon after takeoff, the aircraft disappeared off of the radar screens.
After an intense search by the authorities, the families of the crew and passengers were compensated for their losses.
Now some 37 years later on September 9th, 1992 as Air traffic controllers were having a normal day on the job at Caracas Venezuela’s airport, something strange was about to occur.
Suddenly out of thin air pops a blip on their radar screen that resembles an airplane coming towards the airport.
Out of Nowhere’
The aircraft just comes out of nowhere. The air traffic controllers are concerned.
Within 5 minutes the controllers can visually see the aircraft from the tower where they are stationed.
What they see is a Douglas DC 4 propeller type aircraft. Not the normal jets they are a custom to seeing. And they comment that it looks rough.
They comment that unlike the other planes this one looks like it came out of another universe.
All of a sudden over the radio they hear, the pilots onboard the aircraft ask, â€where are we?â€.
The crew say that they are Pan American Airways Flight 914 from New York to Miami with a crew of four and 57 passengers.
This flight was not only 37 years late but also 1,100 miles in the wrong direction.
After a few questions, the Air Traffic Controller authorizes the airplane to land.
The plane lands uneventfully. However, the pilot exclaimed that they were supposed to land at 9:55 AM ON July 2, 1955, in Miami.
The Air Traffic Controller advises the pilot of the aircraft that they are in Caracas Venezuela on September 9th 1992.
When the pilots hear this they become upset almost to a panic.
So the Controllers ordered some security guards to go and meet the aircraft to assist with the crew and passengers.
As soon as they reach the aircraft the pilots advise them not to come any closer.
The pilot says over the radio don’t come any closer we are leaving now!
The plane then takes off and disappeared into the sky once again!
According to the controllers the airplane no longer showed up on their radar once it had flown into the sky.
The airport sent three jets out to see if they could find the airplane but Pan American Flight 914 was nowhere to be found.
Shows up in Miami
They were unable to locate the aircraft. However, just a few hours later the airplane was said to have landed in Miami at the airport where it was supposed to have landed all those years ago.
The controllers in Miami we’re just as perplexed as the ones in Caracas were.
Investigators were perplexed as well, because that same plane had taken off previously from New York on July 2nd, 1995.
How was this even possible?
The investigators had many questions for the crew, but the Airport authorities had already allowed the crew and passengers to leave so they could be reunited with their families.
The families were shocked to see their long lost relatives, and how they looked. They all looked the same as they did when they first took off back in 1955. While their families looked 37 years older.
It was also a mystery about how the airplane could have run after so many years.
To this day there hasn’t been any good answers for how that could have happened.

Some people say that the Bermuda Triangle must have had something to do with it since so many planes have gone missing in that area.
